Instead of an iceberg, this penguin is using a discarded umbrella to stay above the water. I wanted to observe the horizon and see what it would look like if there was more trash than fish. By drawing the trash as simple, everyday objects—tires, bottles, and bags—I wanted to show that pollution isn't an abstract idea; it's made of things we use once and then forget.
